Food parcels for refugees in Lebanon
In Lebanon, we support camps for Palestinian and Syrian refugees and distribute food parcels.

STELP is active in Lebanon in camps for refugees from Syria and Palestine. In Lebanon, they often only have a humanitarian right of residence, but no recognition as refugees, let alone Lebanese citizenship. For example, the refugees are not allowed to vote, receive no regular education and hardly any state support. The people in the camps are left to fend for themselves and live isolated from society. There are a total of 12 camps for refugees in Lebanon. The former tent cities have grown into small settlements over the last few decades. Tens of thousands of people now live there.
Distribution of food parcels
Over the past month and a half, we have distributed a total of 1,200 food boxes in Miyeh Miyeh Camp, Ain el Helwe Camp, Chatila Camp and Burj al-Barajneh Camp . The boxes contain basic foodstuffs such as rice, flour, pasta and lentils. One box can feed a family of four for about a month.
STELP not only procures the food, but also transports and distributes it. The most needy families are identified by contacts within the camps and the information is passed on to STELP and our man on the ground, our Supporter on Site Jad Massad. These close contacts within the camps are crucial in order to precisely identify the needs and enable us to distribute the food in a targeted manner.
