What is a Social Business?
A social business is a business that goes beyond conventional, classic capitalist business models by primarily pursuing social goals. The idea goes back to the Bengali economist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammad Yunus and states that social commitment is combined with economic activity in order to achieve positive and sustainable effects.
Social Businesses from STELP
We currently run two social businesses: Café NATAN and our event agency STELP Events UG. The purpose of both companies is to distribute 100 percent of their profits to the non-profit STELP e. V.
About the NATAN
Enjoy modern, vegetarian cuisine and delicious drinks and do something good at the same time – no can do? You can! At NATAN, café and bar operations meet social commitment. “Enjoy for a good cause” – that’s the motto. Strong partners and sponsors provide support through favorable conditions and the team consists almost exclusively of volunteers. This ensures that every extra euro goes where it is most urgently needed: The local people in need.

About the STELP events
STELP is different. STELP is creative. STELP is fun. We don’t walk around town with donation cans. We host fundraising and charity events such as fundraising galas, dinner parties or fundraising concerts. At the end of the year, the entire profit of our in-house event agency STELP Events UG flows into the non-profit organization STELP e. V.
Whether it’s yoga for a good cause, a charity concert with Max Herre and Joy Denalane at the Grabkapelle, a comedy clash in the Carl Benz Arena or the annual fundraising gala, STELP Events UG organizes events for every taste. Click here for an overview of upcoming events.
