The situation in Dharawan Camp in Yemen, not far from the capital Sanaa, remains challenging for countless internally displaced families. We have been working here since 2021 to offer children a perspective for the future through access to education. In addition to the existing tent school for grades 1-4, we recently opened a second school for grades 5-8.
Pens, exercise books and books for the pupils of the tent school
Our founder, Serkan Eren, visited the Dharawan Camp earlier this year together with our on-site supporter and was able to witness the project’s progress firsthand. The week before last, an important distribution took place at the new tent school, where we handed out books, notebooks, and pencils to the students. In addition, the teachers also received school bags to help make their everyday teaching easier.
The teachers and pupils are overjoyed to receive this support – for them, education means a chance for a better future. With your help, we can give these children and their families hope. Together we can create safe spaces for education and development, even under the most difficult conditions.
