Interview
STELP: When was your first point of contact with STELP?
Robert Reisch: My wife heard a podcast with Serkan in 2022 and told me about it. Since I knew Linda Weiß from my studies, I also followed her social media channels and that’s how I came across STELP.
STELP: What was your most formative STELP moment?
Robert Reisch:Definitely the concert last year at the Grabkapelle am Rotenberg with Max Herre and Joy Denalane. Perfect moment, good crew, magical location and supporting STELP. That’s as good as it gets…
STELP: What makes the STELP team stand out for you?
Robert Reisch: A high level of creativity in fundraising and great idealism as motivation for the numerous aid projects. Even if it can only be successful as a team, a lot of visibility also depends on Serkan as the “face” of STELP. His trips to the war zones to see how the aid arrives are extraordinary and also make a difference to other large NGOs.
STELP: Where does the motivation to support STELP come from?
Robert: Knowing that we in Germany live in a very privileged position globally, I also want to give something back. As a father of three, it also motivates me to support Serkan and STELP in putting a smile back on the faces of children in crisis areas.
STELP: In brief – what does STELP stand for?
Robert Reisch: Pragmatic help – directly with the people – alleviating acute need – giving everyone involved a good feeling – transparent and fast communication.
STELP: Which aid project is particularly close to your heart?
Robert Reisch: The various projects in Ukraine. We ourselves were active in Ukraine for many years and are still in contact with former colleagues. That’s why I feel very close to the projects and the people there.
