Severe earthquakes shook parts of Türkiye and Syria in early February 2023. Thousands of people lost their homes and were seriously injured. Over 50,000 people died in the rubble. STELP was one of the first aid organizations to arrive in the crisis region less than 24 hours after the earthquake.
Many people still do not have a permanent home. Children and young people in particular are suffering under the difficult conditions, partly because most schools and kindergartens have been destroyed. With our projects in Turkey, we want to give people a perspective for their future.
