STELP is helping since
2024
Around 100,000 people* have been injured or killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and almost two million people* are currently displaced. These numbers are so large that we can hardly imagine them – that our minds cannot categorize them. But these figures represent real human lives. We support those affected with various projects.
Our partners from Cadus e. V. sent a medical team to Gaza at the beginning of February. It was sent on behalf of the World Health Organization and is the first German Emergency Medical Team (EMT) on the ground. We have supported them financially.
Cadus is currently concentrating primarily on caring for seriously injured civilians.
Our supporter on site Jad, who actually looks after our projects in Lebanon, is currently on the Egyptian border. There he is providing aid to Palestinians who have fled the Gaza Strip. Some of them left the Gaza Strip before October 7. A few managed to get out after the war began. The Palestinians are stranded in Egypt. They only have what they carry with them. They lack everything.
We are now supporting those affected on the ground with food parcels that will last them for the next two months and are ensuring that they receive medical care and a roof over their heads. We are also making sure that people have internet access so that they can reach their families in Gaza.
