Run, help, give hope – STELP is part of the Stuttgart Run for the first time this year and is collecting donations for children in Yemen, one of the poorest countries in the world. Civil war, hunger and poverty have dominated everyday life there for years – especially for children. Many of them have to walk miles to school barefoot or in broken shoes.
With your support, we want to change that. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of enabling children in Yemen to attend school – and thus give them a real chance of a better future.
The STELP donation gate at the Stuttgart Run
Shortly before crossing the finish line in the MHP Arena, a very special promotion awaits all participants: our STELP donation gate. Anyone who passes through here automatically donates 2.00 euros to our children’s project in Yemen. Very simple – and with a big impact.
Fancy a challenge? Come to our information stand!
On the day of the event you will also find us at Mercedesstraße near P9. There you can:
Learn more about our humanitarian aid in Yemen and other crisis regions
take part in the STELP Plank Challenge
and with a little luck win a free starting place for the 2nd STELP charity run by CTP on November 9 at the Festwiese stadium!
Strong together: running for a good cause
By taking part in the Stuttgart Run, you are not only running for yourselves, but for many who have no voice. Let’s set an example together – for solidarity, education and the future.
What happens to your donation?
For many children in Yemen, going to school barefoot is a sad part of everyday life. Some wear sandals or shoes that barely hold together. The path to school is often long and full of stumbling blocks – literally and figuratively.
Yemen is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world. Millions of children are suffering from the consequences of hunger, war and poverty. Despite this, many try to go to school regularly – because education is their only hope for a better future. But without suitable shoes, this daily journey to school becomes a challenge that many children will eventually no longer be able to overcome.
For just 13 euros, we can provide a child with a new pair of shoes – robust, comfortable and durable enough to be worn for a few years.
By the way: together with our local partner Mohammed, we are already financing a soup kitchen that provides hot meals for around 2,000 children at six schools. The need for local support remains huge – especially now.
