Over half a million for STELP at fundraising gala
STELP raises over half a million euros at the 3rd fundraising gala. An evening between two worlds.

We still can’t quite believe it. Is the number up there really true?
But even today, one day after our fundraising gala, the number is still there. Half a million. 531,198€ – that’s the total we raised last night – including ticket sales, raffle, all donations and auction. Hereby, we have broken all records, completely exceeded all expectations.
The charity gala was emotional. It was glamorous. It was somewhere between two worlds. More than 300 guests celebrated our 3rd fundraising gala with us in the Kursaal in Bad-Cannstatt.
They listened to the story of Syrian filmmaker Waad al-Kateab, whose documentary “For Sama” documented the life of her young daughter in Syria’s civil war. Serkan took our guests into our work in Ukraine, into our projects and told the stories of people who were not lucky enough to be born here like we were. Those who are starving, on the run or fighting for their lives in war at this very hour.
There was laughter from the bottom of the heart
On the other hand, Plenum Stuttgart served an incredible gala menu, Banh Mi and Bubbles extravagant finger food and Dinkelacker, GINSTR and the Spirituosengalerie provided delicious drinks.
There was hearty laughter when comedian Fabi Rommel made his late-night appearance. And there was boisterous dancing and partying as Stuttgart pop duo Parallel, Cassandra Steen and the Orsons took to the stage.

And that is exactly how it is good. That’s exactly how it should be. You don’t have to have a guilty conscience when you celebrate You only have to do one thing: be aware of your luck and privilege. This is exactly what the gala evening showed: Our STELP supporters know what is important. Generosity, charity and an eye for those who do not have it as good as we do.
