Around 100,000 people* have been injured or killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, and almost two million people* are currently displaced. These numbers are so large that we can hardly imagine them – that our minds cannot categorize them. But these figures represent real human lives. It is important that we keep reminding ourselves of this fact. And that we tell the stories of these people.
Our Supporter on Site Jad, who is actually in charge of our aid projects in Lebanon, is currently in Egypt, where he is looking after Palestinian refugees on the border with the Gaza Strip. In addition to providing them with food, he talks to them, gives them space to talk about their experiences and learns a lot about their individual fates. We want to share these with you.

This is Selena. Selena and her mother were sleeping next to each other when the rocket hit. Only the little girl survived the night. Her deep scars will remind her of this for the rest of her life. Our support is only of limited help here.
Om Shobi fled during the attacks. Barefoot. She took the sandals from a dead neighbor to make it across the border. We were at least able to provide her with food.
Riyad lost 26 family members in one fell swoop. They were looking for shelter in his house. In a neighborhood designated as safe. His family is still buried under the rubble of the tower block . Here, too, our support is only a small help.
We would like to continue to support these and other people and need your support to do so. You can donate directly via this button.
