The humanitarian situation in Gaza is deteriorating.
Currently, the teams of our partners at the Berlin-based aid organization Cadus, one of the few aid organizations on the ground, are able to provide support with patient transfers within Gaza and occasionally internationally. But even this is far too limited, as the movements are rarely approved.
We must not look away in Gaza
There is no safe place in Gaza, bombings can occur anywhere and at any time. The mission is extremely dangerous for the team, our colleagues in a hospital came under fire in one attack.
As a result of Israeli attacks on hospitals, civilians and medical professionals on duty are dying. Additionally, the closure of borders has led to a shortage of food and water, and the healthcare system has been severely affected by the reduced supply of consumables, medical equipment, and fuel.
