Donation for Bosnia & Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently facing a number of humanitarian and social challenges. The situation on the Bosnian-Croatian border is particularly alarming: numerous reports document pushbacks, where people fleeing are often violently pushed back. This practice violates international law and exacerbates the already precarious situation of many people seeking protection.
Certain groups of people are also disadvantaged within the country: people with disabilities in particular are discriminated against in political and social structures. They hardly get any support from the state and this despite the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2010.
This is how we provide local support:
We cover the fixed costs of a meeting place for people with disabilities in Bihac. STELP also covers the costs of a rental car for mobile emergency medical aid for refugees on the Bosnian-Croatian border and supports the distribution of stoves and blankets.
