The situation in Dharawan Camp in Yemen, not far from the capital Sanaa, remains challenging for countless internally displaced families. We have been working here since 2021 to offer children a perspective for the future through access to education. In addition to the existing tent school for grades 1-4, we recently opened a second school for grades 5-8.
Pens, exercise books and books for the pupils of the tent school
Our founder Serkan Eren was on site at Dharawan Camp at the beginning of the year together with our supporter on site Mohammed and was able to see for himself the success of the project so far. The week before last, an important distribution took place in the new tent school, where we handed out books, exercise books and pens to pupils. The teachers also received school bags to make their everyday teaching easier.
The teachers and pupils are overjoyed to receive this support – for them, education means a chance for a better future. With your help, we can give these children and their families hope. Together we can create safe spaces for education and development, even under the most difficult conditions.
