This year, we were able to consolidate our commitment on the Greek island of Lesbos and further expand our partnership with the Paréa Center, a community center for refugees. We have been committed to helping refugees at Europe’s external borders since our foundation in 2015.
In 2023, STELP not only placed 30 volunteers who worked on site for at least one month with our partners Europe Cares or Leavenoonebehind, but also became one of the most important funding partners of the community center run by Europe Cares.
Among other things, we paid a few months’ rent for the community center and supported educational work, food distribution and smaller donations in kind, such as around 150 sleeping bags.
We are delighted about the strong cooperation and look forward to making a difference together.
