STELP is helping since
2016
STELP has been supporting refugees on Lesvos since 2016. Since September 2020, we have been continuously active on the ground together with our partner organization #LeaveNoOneBehind and from 2022 with Europe Cares.
Starting with the installation of shower and washing containers for refugees and the provision of food, hygiene articles and clothing, we are now supporting the Parea Center, a community center for refugees run by Europe Cares, just a few minutes’ walk from Mavrovouni Camp, together with 11 other NGOs.
Volunteers from STELP help to create an inviting space for visitors at the Community Center, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone. STELP volunteers are helping to make the community center a welcoming place for visitors. They support our partners from #Leavenonebehind and Europe Cares with the laundry service or the distribution of clothes and food. In addition, STELP regularly organizes donations in kind to provide refugees with relief supplies.
