Under the motto #machtpaulripkearm, the Stuttgart-based aid organisation STELP will be collecting donations for aid projects in countries such as Afghanistan, Yemen and Ukraine together with photographer and influencer Paul Ripke from Tuesday morning. The podcast host and celebrity photographer, who became known for his work for the German national football team and for Die Toten Hosen, among others, surprised STELP founder Serkan Eren with a spontaneous fundraising campaign when he was a guest on his podcast „Alle Wege führen nach Ruhm“ (AWFNR).
So Paul Ripke will personally match all donations received by STELP within 48 hours of the release of the joint podcast episode on Tuesday (24 January at 6am) with the reference AWFNR (the abbreviation of his podcast).
How did this happen? “I was invited to Paul Ripke’s podcast last week to talk about my work and about STELP,” explains Serkan Eren. “I was totally surprised when he then announced the action,” Eren continues.
Ripke doubles donations
In the new podcast episode, the two actually talked about how celebrities can get involved socially, about STELP’s aid projects and about Serkan Eren’s experiences in crisis regions like Ukraine. Then the entertainer, who now lives in California, spontaneously announced that he really wanted to start something with STELP. Up to 50,000 euros, he is now doubling all donations received by STELP within 48 hours of the podcast’s release under the reference #AWFNR.
Throughout Germany, prominent musicians, politicians and athletes share the fundraising campaign on their social media channels.
The podcast appeared on 24 January at 6am on Spotify and Podigee, among others.
Donations can be made by bank transfer with the reference AWFNR or via Paypal here:
