Since the beginning of the war, the Stuttgart-based aid organization STELP e. V. has been delivering large quantities of aid supplies to Ukraine and rescuing vulnerable people from embattled areas. Now she received high praise for her efforts.
Last Thursday, the founder and 1st board member of STELP e. V. Serkan Eren was in the food donation hub of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Debiça. Since April, the Stuttgart-based aid organization has been sending aid supplies to Ukraine from there. But this time Eren was not on site to coordinate deliveries of canned food or water cans to the embattled areas, this time he followed an invitation of the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir. After his initial visit to Warsaw, he stopped at the coordination office overseen by his ministry.
On site, the minister thanked all donors and helpers for their commitment – and emphasized the commitment of STELP e. V. “Thanks go to all the NGOs that use this hub to transport aid. Their help on the ground sends a signal to the people that they are not forgotten. As a representative, I would like to thank Serkan Eren and the STELP association, who are doing a great job. Without the support of the NGOs, we would not even be able to organize this aid,” said Federal Minister Cem Özdemir.
“We are honored to be one of the relief organizations that has access to the federal government’s warehouse. Now to be praised here for our commitment makes me incredibly proud. Nevertheless, we cannot rest on this praise. A cruel war is still raging in Ukraine. The people there continue to need our full commitment and support,” Eren said.
