For months, the tense situation in southern Lebanon has been affecting the lives of countless families. The country has been in a deep economic crisis for a long time, and healthcare in particular is now virtually inaccessible for many people.
That is why we support the Medical Center in Mjaydel. There, people in need from 56 surrounding villages are treated by general practitioners and specialists such as cardiologists and pediatricians. Thanks to your support, the center can continue to keep its doors open to the population and build a stable medical infrastructure in the long term.
To further improve care, an additional room is currently being built to provide patients with more privacy and security. In addition to regular operations, special campaigns are also held on a regular basis: most recently, around 90 people were examined as part of a blood test campaign. Special screening campaigns in cooperation with other clinics also help to detect diseases at an early stage.
